For the first time in my life I got highlights, and I love them! I got the color Redish-Pinkish, and also represents Pii mai, the Lao New Year.
Pii Mai is when you pour water on ANYONE that you see! At the U.S Embassy field, we had a Pii Mai party (even though it was 2 days early). It was tons of fun! I really enjoy Pii Mai.
For the Pii Mai break, school is off for a week. My family and I are going to Udon(Thailand), Khon Kaen (also in Thailand), and then back to Udon.

Pii mai
Here is a wonderful picture of us while Pii Mai Lao was going on. If you look carefully, you will see that we are WET! Beware tourists, if you don't like getting wet, don't come around this time of year! Read more about Pii Mai Lao just at the left. This year, we all wore red for Pii Mai. I was begging for a Pii Mai shirt to bring back to America! I got one ( and of course it's red), and I got it wet! While at the little street shop, we got Megan a cute shirt and skirt, and Ike got a shirt. His has a hole in it, though. (poor ike's shirt)
